A trip to Northern Ireland

12 May

This last Bank Holiday weekend, I took a few days trip to Northern Ireland. It is the first time I have ever been there even though it is so near to mainland. There was so much to see and I only had four days to fit everything in so we decided to take a coastal tour to include the Dark Hedges and the Giant’s Causeway and a day trip to Derry, the focus point of past conflicts.
Unexpectedly for a late April, the weather was quite warm though a bit breezy on the first day. As we took the drive along the coast, I was stunned by the true beauty of the place, the green landscape and the beaches.

On this trip I took the clothes I had made for the trip. As I knew I will be doing a lot of walking, I took my trusted Merrill trainers and a layer of clothing to wear with my tops to be ready for any surprised turn to the weather.
