After my Young Ambassador role for the Prince’s Trust, I was looking forward to a trip to South India. I spent the month of January travelling India, visiting places famous for culture, technology, nature and food – yes you guessed it right. Hyderabad, Bangalore and Kerala.

On coming back to UK, I looked back at my trip, the sights, the delicious food, the people, the way people do business and everything else that India is famous for. I was urged to share my experiences with others.
I have been watching the TV show “The Real Marigold Hotel” with a lot of interest. Eight British Celebrities wanting to experience what it is like to retire in India. In the present series they are heading to Kochi in Kerala. I am sure they will find Kerala just the place to retire as my experience of visiting Kerala was very positive, people very welcoming and food so delicious, Oh .. just the summer they need to be ready for!.

While in Kerala, I spent a weekend relaxing in the backwaters of Alleppy, in a beautiful, contemporary wooden apartment. The apartment and gardens felt so peaceful overlooking the lake – an amazing experience. A 3 hour boat ride allowed us to see and visit some exhilarating sites such Chinese finishing nets, a fabulous display of lotus flowers in bloom and a bird sanctuary. We also had some finger licking sea food, cooked in coconut oil and to our taste. The fish was caught from the lake outside. I have never seen prawns so big. After the meal the puddings were very light and delicious.

On the late Sunday afternoon I took a few snap of me wearing the outfit I got ready in December previous in readiness for the trip.
